The Bregenzer Festspiele own online chronicle (https://chronik.bregenzerfestspiele.com/de/1985/i-puritani) gives this production -- Masini, Deflo, Gruberova, Fisichella, Zancanaro, Kavrakos, del Bosco, Ramiro, Cioromila, Wiener Symphoniker, Chor der Volksoper Wien -- as "Premiere 23. Juli 1985", with further performances on 28 July and 1, 4 and 8 August 1985. The Wiener Symphoniker concert archive has the same night at https://www.wienersymphoniker.at/de/konzert/bellini-i-puritani-23-07-1985 ("Bellini I Puritani. Festspielhaus Bregenz. Di 23. Juli 1985 19:30 Uhr. Dirigent: Gianfranco Masini"), and the 1985 festival ran 23 July to 24 August (FonoForum 7/85 Festspiel-Kalender, p.10: "BREGENZ / Bregenzer Festspiele / 23. Juli - 24. August 1985 ... werden in diesem Sommer mit Vincenzo Bellinis Oper I Puritani mit Edita Gruberova als Elvira eroeffnet"). Two rips of this recording are in the archive, one arriving as 1985.07.13 and one as 1985.07.23, and waveform correlation shows them to be the same tape, so only one date can be right. 13 July 1985 is impossible: the festival had not opened. The day 23 is recorded on the strength of the document circulated with the relay, a German note in the rip folder ("I Puritani_BZFS_230785 [Grabbe].txt": "Bregenzer Festspiele / Aufname von: 23.07.1985"), and of esdf-opera.de, which lists this production four times and flags its 23.07.1985 entry, and only that one, "Radiouebertragung / Broadcast" -- these rips being a radio relay, with announcements and a spoken cast list. esdf also carries a 13.07.1985 line with the identical cast, which is where the other folder name almost certainly comes from. This is collector documentation rather than a broadcaster schedule, and the run had five nights, so the day is the least certain part of this; the month and year are not in doubt.

Year corrected from 1994 to 1985. operadis (http://www.operadis-opera-discography.org.uk/CLBEPURI.HTM, entry 35) lists exactly one Masini I puritani -- 1985(LI), Wiener Symphoniker, Wiener Volksoper chorus, with this recording's whole cast (Gruberova, Fisichella, Zancanaro, Kavrakos, Cioromila, Ramiro, Del Bosco) -- and notes: "Audio and video recordings of a performance (or of performances) at the Bregenz Festival (See OPERA Festival Issue 1985 p.55)"; issued as Serenissima 360135 and Premiere DVD 5687. The Wiener Symphoniker and the Volksoper chorus were the Bregenz festival forces. Day and month left unset: operadis names no date, and the incoming folder's claim of 13 July 1985 is uncorroborated.

Gualtiero is a comprimario; the three leads of I puritani are Elvira, Arturo and Riccardo, which is how operadis (CLBEPURI.HTM, entry 35 -- Gruberova, Fisichella, Zancanaro) and every other Puritani in findopera bill it.
